The Maranatha House
SHORT TERM RENTAL HOME
The Maranatha House is a 3,200 square feet 3 bedroom/2 bath, newly renovated home with a full kitchen, dining room, living area, & game room. Rooms are large; 2 boast Double Queen beds in each and the master holds a King and Twin Chair Sleeper (sleeps 11 without even utilizing the living area space). Whether you’re playing a gig at Blue Agave, or need a place for the whole family to stay, this house will make you feel like you’re home!
Entire home is exceptionally cleaned, ground level with parking in front of the rooms.

The stable
activity center
We are currently remodeling the former grocery and café building to create a new activity center for our guests and the public to rent for all types of special events that can benefit from having a large space to accommodate more people in a friendly comfortable space with amenities.
This facility is a 2400 Sq Ft building with the new electrical, new ceramic tile floors, bathrooms, and new HVAC. While we don’t plan to cook and sell food there it will have equipment to keep food warm or cold and plenty of counter space to serve from if you need an event catered. We plan to offer bottle water, soft drinks, and prepackaged snacks for sale. It will be equipped with lots of tables and chairs to accommodate any family reunion, dance, wedding party, special meeting, or group event.

The area around Blackwell and Oak Creek Lake offers a multitude of hunting opportunities to the visiting sportsman and sportswoman. The entire region is home to bountiful populations of whitetail deer, dove, quail, wild turkey, and feral hogs. The area also supports a healthy predator population and the ability to harvest coyote, fox, and bobcat is great. In addition, there are several ranches that offer guided hunting opportunities for many exotic species now available in Texas.

FORT CHADBOURNE
Just up the road, Fort Chadbourne is easily any Texas history buff’s favorite destination. Packed with military memorabilia, this 12,500 square foot Visitor Center preserves life in Texas in the 1800s and paints a clear picture of the lifestyle in that time period.
Each year in May, Fort Chadbourne hosts Evening with a Hero, an event honoring military Medal of Honor recipients. Tickets can be purchased on their website.
